[title2]DESTINEE NIETO[/title2]

Destinee coughed as her perfume accidentally entered her mouth. She found herself laughing at her mistake, smiling with her teeth which shined due to a recent teeth whitening appointment, which her agent recommended. Applying some eye shadow and eyeliner, she began to curl her hair. Destinee wanted to look perfect for Jaison, who she was meeting tonight at a very prestigious restaurant. Upon request, all reporters would not be allowed in those doors, and Destinee knew they would have privacy for once. He was so excited on the phone she remembered happily, his voice detailing the anxiousness she knew his face wore, he told her of a big surprise he had planned. Today was Destinee's 23rd birthday, and Jaison and her had been dating for about 5 years, well 5 years in September. Part of her wondered if he would propose, but she shut down that idea, they were still relatively young, and they both were extremely busy. They just wouldn't have time for the "married life". Sighing, she flopped down onto her bouncy soft king bed, finding herself squealing into her light pink pillow. Jaison always had made her as happy as could be, making her feel like a princess in Disney movie.

A knock pounded onto the French doors, and her eyes met with her manager. Rolling her eyes, she wished she could have one moment to herself. He always had to follow her everywhere, that man! Rolling off the bed and lazily getting up, she walked over to the doors, opening them a bit. Before she could ask him why he was here, he pushed his way through the small crack/ Destinee had forgotten he was so skinny, and she snarled at the fact that he had just completely ignored her. Besides, she pleaded earlier that he leave her alone while she got ready for Jason's surprise. Apparently he didn't understand what a promise meant..

"Destinee, I have arranged a driver to bring you to Jaison's surprise."he uttered simply. Destinee had always found him very plain, with not much of a personality. However, she did not need someone to drive her. At 23 years old, she was perfectly fine driving herself."Frank, that will not be necessary. I will drive myself. I'll be fine! You're such a worrywart."she laughed at him, giving him a light push. He wasn't as amused, but he nodded and walked away without another word. Typical Frank, Destinee murmured, but decided to pass it off, for Jaison was going to give her the best night of her life she believed. Bringing her phone out, she texted him. Babe, I'm on my way! Can't wait. Love you, Destinee xx she grinned at the text, sending it without thought. Destinee had ended her texts like that for 5 years to Jaison, and she hoped they would never have to stop. Opening the door to her Ferrari, she turned off her phone, for she always followed authority. Turning on some tunes, she listened to Jaison's album. Destinee loved the way he sang, with such passion. Driving out of the driveway, she had no idea what was about to happen. Perhaps, if she had driven with the driver Frank had hired, she would still be with us today.

[title2]NATALIA HUGHES[/title2]

Natalia sat in her small dining room, a table with only two chairs, one for herself, and one that always remained empty. That is, unless Maxxy jumped onto the chair, hoping to reach the table and receive a bite of tasty food. Natty had off today from the club, for they were having a special girls night, and male waiters were the buzz during those, so many of the waitresses got some time off. Natalia appreciated having some time to relax, but also felt strange not working at the club like usual. Natalia ate the same sunny-side eggs with a glass of non-pulp orange juice every morning, walked her dog at exactly 7:00 am, and slept always at an early 12 am, which didn't seem early for others, but hey- she worked at a nightclub. So, you could say Natalia liked doing her same old routine. She ate a Caesar Salad, the same one she enjoyed every evening. Natalia strived in being in the best health as possible. Maxxy stared at her with puppy eyes, but she declined, but eventually gave in and fed her a puppy chow bone. After finishing her salad, she decided to check her twitter. Hopefully she had gotten some reposts. As she proceeded to get up, her foot caught on the stool's end, and she found her face kissing the ground."Ouch."she mumbled, dragging herself into her room after the clumsy fall.

Her laptop rest where it was before, on the end of her empty desk. Natalia appreciated having a very clean room, and one that felt very open. Anxiously, she scrambled to get to her seat. She was delighted to find 10,000 reposts of various tweets. People really liked her humor. Or maybe they just liked the fact how outspoken she was about her dislike for Jaison Crawford. One of the very few people who thought of him as scum, she even went as far as to make an account in which she made jokes about him. She found him a typical popstar, with no care for others, and while his music was good, his personality was no muy bueno. Natalia wondered what he was up too, she did check from time to time, wondering what the magazines said of him. Clicking on an article that usually had reliable information, she raised her eyebrow when she found that Jaison had some sort of surprise for his pretty girlfriend of his, Destinee tonight. Natalia didn't have anything against the girl, but felt a form of pity that she had to date Crawford. Natalia had seen the way Jaison ignored his fans, and believed he didn't care much for them. Obviously, she wouldn't like what would happen not so long from now.

Tonight was the night. No turning back now. Tonight was the night he was going to propose to Destinee.

Jaison shouldn’t be so anxious. He often revealed his feelings through song to millions of strangers.

This was different though. Sure this was only one person, but this was a really big deal. It was a bit of a miracle he’d even managed to it a secret from the media. It’d be a thousand times worse with a ton of paparazzi hanging around trying to break into the restaurant the couple would be meeting at. Hopefully the restaurant would keep their promise of heavy security to keep out gossip reporters.

Reaching into his pocket, Jaison pulled out a small box. Inside, was a beautiful, princess-cut diamond ring. This was it, huh. After tonight he’d officially be an engaged man. Assuming Destinee said yes. Man, how mortifying it’d be if she rejected him! Maybe this was a bad idea…

Shaking his head, Jaison shoved the ring into his pocket. He’d have to get to the restaurant before Destinee and give the ring to someone to hold onto. He couldn’t meet up with Destinee with an extremely obvious square-shaped bulge in his pocket.

Letting out a sigh, Jaison glanced at the large mirror across the room from him. The anxiousness was very evident on his face. Hopefully that’d die down by the time he saw Destinee’s.

Jaison pulled his cell phone out of his pocket, quickly texting his driver a message that he was ready to read. Initially he’d planned to drive himself, but decided otherwise in case he decided to have some wine or anything.

Within twenty minutes, Jaison has arrived at the restaurant; apparently they had set up not only security but bouncers as well. It seemed like it was some club from the outside.  Oh well. So long as the night isn’t ruined by some rude reporter. He had his driver drop him off at the back, where he entered through the kitchen. Luckily for him, the owner of the restaurant had been in there so he didn’t have to look long for someone to hold onto the ring.

”Will you be singing tonight, Mr. Crawford?” The owner asked as he stashed the ring box in an inner-pocket of his suit jacket. ”Our stage is always available to you!” Sure the idea had run through Jaison’s head a couple times, but… If he were to sing, he’d much rather it be in private, just to Destinee. Yeah, he was a star and all, but that didn’t mean he wanted to put on some huge show for his proposal. Some normal guys would, but maybe it was because Jaison was famous that he wanted to keep it much smaller. ”Thanks for the offer, Greg, but I think I’m going to pass on that tonight.

”Ah, what a shame.” Greg frowned but quickly regained his composure. ”Let me lead you to your table. We’ve set up a private one towards the back for you two.”

Without a word, Jaison began to follow the man, pulling his phone out as he felt a light vibration against his thigh. He smiled softly with his whole face as he saw Destinee’s name pop up on the screen, along with a message stating she was on her way. This was it. Even if Jaison tried to turn back there was no way the restaurant staff would let him. Then they couldn’t be know as the restaurant where Jaison Crawford and Destinee Nieto got engaged. Darn human nature of thinking of yourself before others. See you soon, beautiful. Love you too. He quickly texted back as he took his seat.
Engagement Ring:

[title2]DESTINEE NIETO[/title2]

Dressed from head-to-toe in designer clothing, only from the best, Destinee wasn't surprised to get looks from cars also on the bumpy black road with a couple potholes here and there. You would think she would delight in the attention, but Destinee felt a bit annoyed, wanting just to enjoy one moment of being somewhat normal. Seemed like normal was never a possibility for Jaison and her, she thought, with a soft sigh. Although, she guessed this was the "normal" she lived in, since she had been acting ever since she landed her first role at the age of 10. Her role was nominated for various awards, and won most. It was also popular among the critics, and Destinee became a huge hit. Ever since then, her life had been anything but private, and anything but ordinary. Her first kiss, was on a popular kids television show back when she was thirteen. She remembered going home to her mom, crying to her about how she never would have her "first kiss" again, and it was with some weird stranger they had brought onto the show to make things interesting. Not to mention he was 3 years older than her. Her mom comforted her, but she still pressured Destinee to strive for perfection, and to not stop until she was known all over the world. While she loved to act, sometimes she wondered if she would of lived a normal life if not for the competitiveness her mother placed into her heart.

Dede then heard the loud buzzing vibration of her phone, but knew better then to text back while driving. She was definitely not getting in an accident, especially today. As she drove for a couple of more minutes although, she really wanted to hear the voice of her boyfriend. His voice felt like home, comfort, and security. Just on of the millions of things she couldn't get enough of about Jaison. Talking into her car, which was connected to her phone, she told the pricy finery to call speed dial #1, otherwise known as her boyfriend, Jaison. Grinning from ear to ear, she eagerly waited for him to pick up. When she heard the beeping stop, she knew he had picked up. "Hey! I know I should of just waited till the restaurant.." she softly spoke into the speaker. Destinee made sure to keep her eyes on the road. When the light turned green, she began to drive past the intersection, and then there would be only one more turn till her surprise."..but I couldn't wa-" Instead of the rest of Destinee's gorgeous soft voice finishing the sentence, a loud crash followed, and the breaking of glass could be heard. Screams from other cars could be faintly recognized in the distance. A car had driven past the red light, and swerved directly into the front of the Ferrari. The impact was so great, Destinee felt herself fly from her seat, into part of the windshield. The air-bags came out, but they did worse rather than help. A passerby of another car began to cry, and called 911 with much panic. Destinee felt an intense amount of pain, and her eyes closed, and she blacked out.
The driver of the car that hit her stumbled out of his seat, walking clumsily over to Destinee. Staring at her for a moment, he felt regret, but much more fear, and ran to his car and drove away with the damages still in the front of his vechile. Not to mention, the fresh blood that had leaked onto the front. An old men screamed at him, calling him a coward, but he had gotten a picture of his license plate number.

”May I interest you in some wine, sir?” A server who had just approached the table asked as Jaison stared at his phone. There were so many texts from his family, Destinee’s family, his manager, and the rest of his staff. All wishing him good luck tonight. ”Sure. Bring me your best bottle.” He muttered as he opened each text one by one and skimmed.

Suddenly Destinee’s name popped up once more with an incoming phone call. He was sure she was using her car’s speakerphone, but still. Jaison was never fond of phone calls while driving. Heck, he was even a public spokesperson against the action! Nonetheless, he immediately accepted the call, bringing his phone to his ear. ”Hey baby.” He smiled when he heard Destinee’s soft voice on the other end.

But suddenly the voice was cut off. Replaced the sounds of crashing and screaming. ”Destinee…? Destinee!” He whisper shouted into the phone. Muttering curses under his breath in rapid succession, Jaison rose from his seat and headed to the restaurant’s front door. He didn’t care who might see him or recognize him. Exiting from the main door was much quicker than the back one. He didn’t even bother to speak to the owner or anyone to let them know he was leaving or to get his ring.

”Is that Jaison?” He could hear a voice that probably belonged to a teenaged girl. Of course he’d get noticed that quickly. He didn’t bother to stop, though. Normally he world, and he’d say hello. Maybe take a photo. But after that phone call he didn’t have time to spare.

Opening up an app, Jaison began to track Destinee’s phone. He’d always found it so dumb that their managers made them have trackers on their phone, but right now. In this moment. He was actually quite thankful for the dumb things.

Jaison picked up his pace as a white dot appeared on the map on his screen and the sound of sirens sounded in the distance. Please, please, please don’t let those sirens be headed to the same place as me…

”Jaison!” Jason, who was running now, glanced to his right to see his driver. Without a word he quickly hopped into the passenger seat of the car, showing his screen to the man. ”I need you to get me there as quickly as possible.” The driver nodded and began driving to the location, despite being extremely confused.

As they approached the location, the saw it was blocked off by a huge crowd of people, along with cops and ambulances. Jaison didn’t even let the car stop moving before jumping out and pushing his way to the front of the crowd. He could hear murmurs of a couple people who recognized him. A handful about Destinee. A few voices called him ‘poor boy’.

No…

No. No. No.

Reaching the front, Jaison spotted a smashed up Ferrari… Destinee’s Ferrari. He also spotter paramedics surrounding someone who seemed to be injured. It had to be Destinee. She was nowhere to be seen in this crowd.

His heart dropping and face paling, Jaison dropped down to his knees. He wanted to scream, but he couldn’t make any sound come out. This is all my fault... I shouldn't have answered that call... Please be okay... He buried his face in his hands.

[title2]DESTINEE NIETO[/title2]

Her eyes open to eggshell white walls, a small room with one chair, one bed, and a certain emptiness. The chair that had nobody sitting in seemed to beg for company, and the walls screamed isolation. There was a tube down her throat, and she would of felt it choking her if not for the great deal of painkillers they must of given her to subside the pain. For a moment, she actually wondered how she looked in this patient white dress, the one you've seen on movies, television, and perhaps in reality, if you've ever wandered the hospitals. A draggy thing, it was definitely in no way made for style. Destinee felt as if having such an outfit and look changed her. She had went from on top of the world down to the deep bottom, and her eyes grazed over her whole body, and she noted various injuries in her stomach area, while her legs were mostly fine. Her head felt strange and dizzy, and if she could move her hands, she would of held it. Destinee thought back to the accident, and cursed the person who hit her in her head. Although, she wasn't sure what happened completely, all she knew was she was hit, and she found herself here. Destinee wondered where Jaison was, and if he even got the news - he possibly could of heard on the phone, which she found completely terrifying to think of. Destinee felt her heartbeat going quick, rather than its usual steadiness. Only a few seconds had gone by, and her eyes closed again, and she lost consciousness.

[sorriez short post ;-; didn't know much of what to write since Jaison's not there yet.. ]

[title2]NATALIA HUGHES[/title2]

Natalia closed her laptop rather quickly, and flinched when it shut loudly. She was a bit clumsy you could say, but if we're being totally honest here-she's a complete mess. Maxxy barked at the girl, screeching into her tiny ears, as she plugged them in. The small dog had a humongous bark somehow, which Natalia found ironic, but brave of the petite thing. Natalia assumed he was wanting his dinner, so she shushed him, as if he was a child, her child, and led him to her kitchen. A very modern kitchen, the cabinets were worn down and the appliances were old-fashioned, but Natalia loved it all the same. It was the best place she's had for many years. Picking up the plastic container of low-fat dog food(which the vet recommended), she poured it into a cute dog bowl with mini bowls on it, one she had found at a secondhand store for a score of 50 cents. She practically jumped when she had seen that price, I'm telling you.

After Maxxy began munching, she got bored of watching the fluffy dog tackle the food as if the last time he ate was two weeks ago, and walked over to the small television-that she was lucky to even own. An old antique, it had only a couple channels- and the quality was poor, but Natalia enjoyed the fact it was so, it gave her a chance to imagine her own image of what was going on. Flipping through 30 channels, she decided to just watch the news, because she liked to know what was going on in the world(obviously it concerned her, being an inhabitant after all) The news reporter was showing a clip of a car crash earlier, and Natalia looked away as the cars met, a loud sound following. Her eyes softened looking back, wondering who the poor victim was. For 10 minutes, she anxiously awaited to hear who it had been. It possibly could of been someone she knew, for the location where the crash occurred was minutes away from her house(also a scary thought!).

The news reporters lips formed the name.

Destinee Nieto.

Flies flew inside of Natalia's gaping wide mouth. Destinee Nieto? As in Jaison's girlfriend of five consecutive years? The actress? It couldn't be, it just couldn't. Just minutes ago, she had been criticizing the poor girl's boyfriend on social media. Guilt burrowed itself deep instead her, and she felt sick to the core, nauseous, about to give up her breakfast in an instant. Although, she held it in, gulping down the urge. Getting up suddenly, she grabbed her keys to the car and slammed the door behind her. Natalia had no idea where her destination was, but she had to get away from the television that looped the video of the accident over and over to the point of death.

As Jason stepped out from his ride in front of the hospital, he suddenly found himself ambushed with paparazzi. Jeez, didn't they have even the smallest bit of courtesy? His girlfriend was just in an accident and now in the hospital! Must they be shoving cameras and microphones in his face? "Jaison! Where were you during the accident!" "Why was Destinee alone?" "Do you have any details on the accident?"

Jaison shielded his face, ignoring all the questions as his driver helped him push past the sea of media. As he approached the hospital door he saw a few police officers and nurses trying to keep all reporters outside of the hospital.

"Please let me it. I need to see my girlfriend!" He wasn't sure if he'd caught a generous cop, or if the cop just realized how much worse the paparazzi had grown upon Jaison's arrival, but soon enough Jaison was being led into the hospital and up to Destinee's room with a police escort.

As soon as Jaison reached the room, however, he was told by doctors that he was not allowed to enter yet, much to the blondes annoyance. But nonetheless, he began to pace the hospital corridors, awaiting the moment he'd be allowed to actually see Destinee. Please let her be okay...

"J-Jaison...?"

Snapping from Jaison from his thoughts, he heard the voice of a little girl in front of him.

"I-Is that really you?" The girl had tears in her eyes. "I-I'm your biggest fan!"

"Well it's always nice to meet a fan," Jaison smiled gently and knelt down so he was at eye level with the girl. "What's your name?"

The little girl smiled at the attention Jaison was giving her. "My name is Hope! I-I have liver problems and have been waiting to get a new one...They're not sure if I'll make it." She looked down with a frown. It just absolutely broke Jaison's heart. "But at least now... My one of my wishes has come true. I got to meet you!"

"Oh yeah? And what's your other wish?" Jaison asked, genuinely interested in this little girl's wishes.

"I want to write my own music and become a famous singer like you!" Hope explained, sounding rather, well, hopeful for a moment. "But...That won't happen...The doctors say they don't think they'll find me a donor in time since I'm so low on the list..." The girl ended with a frown. This poor girl...She was so young and had to go through all of this...

"Come here," Jaison gave the girl a small smile before grabbing her hand and pulling her into a hug. "You're going to be just fine, okay? You're going to grow up and do great things."

When the little girl pulled away from Jaison, she gave him a huge, toothed smile. One day, when I'm a singer too, can we do a duet?"

"It's a deal." Jaison ruffled the kids hair as a nurse showed up, apparently having been looking all over for Hope. Jaison smiled as he watched the girl skip off with the nurse. Just speaking to the kid had somehow given him a little Hope.

"Jaison?" Jaison immediately stood up as he heard his driver speak and looked to face the man. He was holding a small box... Wait was that...Was that the ring? "The restaurant owner gave me this. He said you might want it." He handed the box to Jaison. "Also, the doctors said you may go in now."

Jaison smiled as he took the box and quickly headed to Destinee's room. Jeez, that had taken forever!

Entering the room, Jaison noticed that Destinee was unconscious. The heart monitor was beeping, though. That was always a good sign. Taking a seat, he shoved the ring box into his pocket. Hopefully Destinee would wake up soon.

(I hope you don't mind I decided to give Declan a little bit of an introduction earlier than intended)

"Declan? ...Declan!" A loud voice boomed. "Yeesh. You're an angel. You don't need this much sleep."

Declan chuckled as he rolled over into his back, the cloud beneath his back feeling softer than ever. "Good morning to you too, sunshine."

The other angel, an older man, rolled his eyes. "Get up. You've got someone to start watching over."

Whoa, whoa, whoa.

Were they seriously making Delcan someone's guardian angel!? Declan raised an eyebrow at the older angel; surely there was some sort of mistake. Not that Declan was complaining, but they never let him down on earth! Not after the, er...Incident. Heck, it was a miracle they even let him stay an angel.

"Just get up and head to earth before someone realizes their stupidity."

The man didn't even need to finish he sentence before Declan made his escape. He hadn't been allowed out of heaven in years. He figured he'd go check on his sister real quick, maybe watch some idiot teenagers possibly ruin their lives, possess a couple people.

Oh, and go check on that one chick he was apparently supposed to watch. But that could wait for now, right? It's not like she was on the verge of death or something. Right?

[title2]DESTINEE NIETO[/title2]

Destinee felt herself in a dark hallway, the walls were gold and the floor was diamond. She tried to breathe, but found there was no air, but she was still able to keep her heart from shutting down. Her outfit had changed, she looked down to see herself in a white dress, with gold specks on various spots, and although she would never wear this in public, she felt very secure and beautiful in the old thing, as if it gave her some sort of confidence. A bright light, overcoming the entire room and almost blinding her, laid at the far end, and she found herself drawn to the source. Her feet began to move, and Destinee's hands reached out. Destinee heard a noise, and her arm shot back down. She searched around, confused, looking for the speaker. The floor came out from under her, and she felt herself falling, the air rising up and blowing her hair back, it was exhilarating and frightening at the same time.

Her eyes fluttered open once again, coughing a bit as she awoke. Again, she attempted to move her hands, and her restraints kept her back. It was somewhat frustrating not being able too. Her eyes wandered around the room, her head turning as much as it could to follow. Her eyes landed on Jaison, and she found herself flying with happiness, her mouth forming a smile. "Jaison.."she attempted to say excitedly, but it came out weakly and hoarse, and she seemed surprised that it had done so. Everything hurt all over, she felt completely sore, there was an exceptionally lovely pain in her forehead. If she had been able to touch it, she would of found a huge scar across her head. It probably would of made her self-conscious, and she would of dwelled on having it forever."You came..I'm so happy to see you...I'm sorry I missed the surprise..she uttered, pausing between each word to breathe, finding little energy in her body. A sharp pain hit her, and she whimpered, turning her head to the side. Destinee couldn't help but think : Oh how the mighty has fallen.

Jaison leaned back in his seat, looking at his phone. He had of ton of text messages from family and friends asking what happened tonight. Some worried about the accident, some completely clueless to it and concerned about the proposal. He let out a sigh as he glanced out the window. He wasn’t even sure about the answer to either of those. He certainly hoped the accident-related messages would receive positive answers, though. He didn’t care about getting engaged right now; all he wanted was for Destinee to be okay.

Suddenly Jaison heard a small coughing fit coming from beside him, and looked over with wide eyes to see Destinee, awake and breathing. He could hear barely hear her speak his name. She seemed so weak. And broken. But despite all the cuts and bruises, and the tubes connected to her body, she still looked beautiful. ”Shhh,” Jaison gently took Destinee’s hand, stroking the back of it lightly with his thumb. ”It’s okay.”

He glanced at the heart monitor. It seemed fine right now, and Destinee didn’t seem too bad either. Well, minus her injuries, of course. She’d be able to make it, though...Right? Without thinking, Jaison had begun to aimlessly ramble on and on, letting Destinee know she could shut him up whenever she wanted and didn’t have to talk back. He didn’t want her to strain herself. ”I love you, Destinee...I'll always love you." He finished off.

[title2]DESTINEE NIETO[/title2]

Destinee sighed as Jaison stroked her hand, immediately feeling better. Well, not much, but she had got in a car accident. Her hand felt somewhat numb, but she could still feel the gentleness of her boyfriend. She give him a small smile, trying to hold back the pain she was feeling. Destinee had a strong headache, and her mind turned in circles as if it thought it was some sort of freakin' merry-go-round. She found as minutes went by, it was harder to think, and concentrate, she was losing bits and pieces of basic knowledge, memories....Little did she know her brain was internally bleeding out at the time.
Jaison was rambling, and Destinee felt overwhelmed, her eyes shooting everywhere, but she let him speak to his heart's content. "I love you, Destinee...I'll always love you." Destinee attempted to smile, but couldn't find the strength. Her whole body shook, parts became numb and other parts felt completely dead and useless."I.......love.....you....too.."she whispered quietly, every word a gasp as she attempted to breathe. Her eyes rolled back into her head, her body freezing like an ice cube. That's when the heart monitor lost it's beautiful melody-and the doctors ran in.
(I'm sorriez ;-; not very long </3)

[title2]NATALIA HUGHES[/title2]

Natalia almost instinctively rolled her eyes when a song of Jaison's came on the radio, but stopped herself from doing so, feeling pity since his girlfriend had been in an accident. She instead listened to it, and she really liked it, but that's between me and you. Her fingers tapped against the wheel as she waited at the red light impatiently. Natalia took the next left, and as she drove, she made sure to be extra careful-fearing she could turn up in the hospital like Destinee if not so. Driving into a graveyard, she sniffled as she drove by hundreds of tombstones, flowers withering away at the grass in front of the gray rock. Some had no flowers, and often Natalia would give one flower to each grave without that luxury, without someone to remember you. Natalia wondered for a moment. If nobody were to remember you, is it ensured that you ever even existed? she asked herself as she walked the graveled sidewalk. Pieces were missing, and occasionally she fell in between the cracks.

Coming across a tombstone with the name Declan scrawled onto it, she found herself disappointed again by the size of the stone. Born into the opposite of wealth, she had learned to appreciate the small things and anything you were given, but she couldn't help but wish her brother had a larger one to give him honor. Nobody drives by and notices the small tiny one hidden beneath the tall dying grass, they notice the giant statue. Natalia believed he deserved that. Although, she never even knew him, she always felt him around, even now. Watching her on her knees, as she sobbed in front of the pathetic dedication. A bunch of flowers did compliment the presentation, as Natalia came here as much as she could. She always found time, Always wanted time to see her brother. Needed it. She laid back on the grass, imagining him as an young adult. She smiled at the thought, and longed for Declan, longed for someone to keep her company. He should of been able to grow up.

Jaison watched nervously as Destinee fought to whisper out the words ‘I love you’, her whole body shaking. Maybe it was just his imagination, but...Was Destinee actually getting worse. He frowned at the thought, looking around for anything wooden he could knock on. Looking back at Destinee, Jaison saw her eyes roll back and his head completely sunk, tears filling his eyes. Then the worst part… The flat line. ”____! No!” He yelled out, subconsciously grabbing Destinee’s arm in denial and feeling for a pulse. Maybe their machine was busted. Though deep down he knew the truth.

Jaison just stared on like a mind-less zombie as doctors and nurses rushed in, forcing him to back away from the bed. He leaned against the nearby wall, suddenly finding his legs unable to hold his own weight. That horrible, never-ending beep scarring his mind. The doctors were all speaking loudly, to hear each other over the heart monitor, but all Jaison could hear was the sound of the flatline. The sound of his beloved’s life being stolen away.

Jaison wasn’t sure just how much time had past, but he suddenly found himself face to face with an older woman. A nurse with a highly sympathetic look on her face. He just stared blankly, not really processing much as she told him that there was nothing more they could do. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see some familiar faces enter the room: Destinee’s parents. He couldn’t see them right now. Especially not since he was still blaming himself. If he hadn’t answered that phone call, maybe their daughter would still be here right now. Breathing.

Faintly, Jaison could hear some sort of mention of organ donor. Apparently Destinee was one, which made Jaison wonder if the doctors truly had done all they could. He’d heard before that doctors don’t try as hard to save a person listed as an organ donor.

Finally finding his voice, Jaison stood up and walked up to the doctor. ”I beg you...There’s a little girl receiving treatment here at this hospital. Please give Destinee’s liver to her.” He felt a bit better knowing that Destinee’s organs could save that poor little girl. And he’d always know where he could find an actual part of Destinee, strange as it seemed. ”I’ll pay you if you want; just do not give that liver to anyone besides that kid!” He demanded.

Declan leaned against a tree, arms crossed as he watched Natalia beside his grave. It was the beginning of the weekend, she should’ve been off on a date or with friends or something not laying in the middle of a graveyard next to a pitiful stone. If Declan didn’t need to go work, he might’ve found some random girl to possess to hang out with his little sister. Though perhaps that wouldn’t be the best idea, since the last time he’d done so didn’t end too well. He wasn’t about to completely ruin his chances of being allowed back on earth.

Walking over to where his sister lay in the grass, Declan looked down at his grave. It was so tiny and quite sad. Born an angel was written beneath his name. Unlike most graves, there was only one date written: October 10th 1989. The day he was-well, should’ve been-born. It was really depressing to know that underneath this patch of ground was a tiny, baby-sized coffin. Declan shook his head. Sure he had never lived, but he got to learn some different emotions from other angels.

Letting out a sigh, Declan took a seat beside Natalia, leaning back on the palms of his hands. He felt like he was forgetting something, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. ”You’ve sure grown a lot since I last saw you,” He spoke as if his little sister could hear him. ”I promise not to do anything stupid again that’ll forbid me from visiting Earth again...”

Suddenly, a small beeper began beeping in the back pocket of Declan’s pants. Yeah. A beeper. Couldn’t angels keep up with the times and get uWatches or something? Like jeez! Declan repeatedly pushed a button on the thing, trying to make it stop, but it wouldn’t! It was almost as though… Shoot! The girl he was supposed to be watching! There was no way she was dying! ...Was there?!

Declan quickly stood up, cursing under his breath. His first time on earth in who knows how many years, and he completely screwed up already! Slamming his eyes shut, Declan realized he had no idea where the girl even was--- Wait… When he first arrived at Natalia’s house...She’d been watching something about some actress...What is she was…

Oh well. It was the best lead Declan currently had. Hopefully she was the one he was supposed to watch. Quickly, he made his way to the hospital he’d seen on Natalia’s television earlier, unaware that he was already too late.

[title2]DESTINEE NIETO[/title2]

Destinee felt a strange rush as she was lifted, her soul flew through the sky and into the clouds, each cloud hit her with a soft push, helping her to her destination. She did not feel, did not think, did not know what was happening, who she was, where she was going, where she had been. That she had died. For a moment she had no body, no surface, and she felt free and limitless. All of a sudden, her spirit made a sharp turn, dragging her down to some sort of ground. When she had landed upon it, she had laid, waiting for pain to hit her, but realized none had, and got up with ease. Looking around her, she was amazed to see a palace of clouds, huge and seemingly never-ending, and people walked around her without even noticing her. She had returned to her body in a way, but she was a spirit, and she had no bones, no organs, no heart, no liver. But she could somehow think and feel now, and her words when she tried to speak them came out in her thoughts, rising to the air, her mouth unmoving. A figure stood, almighty and all-powerful, omniscient in fact, and he was more beautiful than anything else in the universe. Destinee found herself drawn to him, her feet floating to his presence. Before she could even have the chance to comprehend, he told her the answers to all the questions she's ever had. Destinee found herself asking for forgiveness, and so she received. But, she was confused. Where was she, she had asked him. When she found out she was no longer alive, her spirit crumbled to the ground, as she tried to face the realization. It had to be true, for it made sense, this must be heaven. But as much as heaven seemed like the best place, the only place she wanted to be right now was on Earth...in Jaison's arms. Her eyes tearing up, she asked if she could go back, and unsurprisingly, she could not. She stared at the clouds beneath her, unable to cry now, too shocked and in denial. She would not be staying in heaven right now. Destinee was going back to Earth. She gave God a smile, and walked away from him, swearing she would find a way to return. Screw heaven, she thought. I'm giving Earth another try.

[title2]NATALIA HUGHES[/title2]

Natalia sighed, feeling the grass next to her, as if it had life and purpose- as if it were her brother. Sometimes she still felt he was there with her. It was difficult to imagine him, sometimes she pictured a small baby. helpless and innocent, but other times she saw a strong man, who had grown and lived life and had experiences. She couldn't help but wonder what if at times, if things could have gone differently had her brother survived. Her parents had been devastated, and Natalia was a miracle to them. She still heard their cries on his birthday though. Their constant visits to his tombstone. Once, when she was younger, she had whined and complained of how she had missed the funeral, and wouldn't stop crying until she had the closure. Natalia's parents redid the funeral for her, and she now felt horrible for doing such a thing, as it probably hurt them in great ways, and she had only done it for herself. She had been selfish. Kicking the dirt a bit, her face cringed when it hit another tombstone, feeling as if she had disrespected who lied beneath. Natalia had no flowers this time, so she decided to arrange the current pile into a gorgeous display. After minutes of questionably hard work, it still was a pile of flowers. She sighed with great force, almost doubling over at her hunch when she did so. Maybe it was better to leave them a mess though, for his life would have not been proper and prim, perfect- but rather difficult and messy. It represented what could have been. One last tear rolled down her cheek, as she stuffed her now free hands into her hoodie pockets. Turning on one heel, she walked away from one of few things she loved and adored. Opening the car door, she dropped herself into the driving seat, sitting for a moment. Natalia had no idea where she should go. Maybe she could get some dessert? After such a strange day, she supposed she deserved it. Her phone vibrated, and she quickly picked up the device, putting it up to her ear. It was the hospital, and she wondered if her parents had gotten harmed, or if it was something to do with her sucky heart again. Although she lived, unlike her late brother, she had a struggle throughout her life. As a child, she received the Fontan procedure, which helps complex congenital heart defects-ones she had throughout her childhood. Now, as an adult, she now needed a heart transplant. The blood flow through her venous system is slow, her veins are congested, and this can lead to swelling, fluid accumulation, and protein loss. All bad things she would like to avoid. Natalia had been on the waiting list for months now, and it seemed she would never receive what she needed. She felt it possible she could die soon, so she braced herself everyday for the possibility. She just hoped that wasn't the case with this call.

Declan smacked his forehead, running his hands up and through his hair. She died. The girl he was supposed to be watching over died. He could’ve, ya know, been warned that the girl was pretty much on her deathbed! That’s what happens when God has angels pass word on rather than giving out jobs directly. His first day back on earth, and Declan completely failed his job. Let a girl die. If he’d been just a few minutes sooner he might’ve been able to save her… Keep her away from the light… But he was too late. Ugh, what kind of punishment would he receive for this?

As Declan kneeled beside the dead girl, he heard a blonde guy speaking. He’d been quiet the whole time Declan had been here, but suddenly began speaking up at the mention of organ donor. Eyes widening, Declan remembered his little sister’s condition and how she was in need of a heart transplant. It sounded like the blondie, who apparently some big shot (maybe some famous person or whatever), was demanding the doctor give the dead girl’s liver to a specific person and offering to pay. Without thinking, Declan immediately speed walked to the blonde and walked into him, possessing the poor guy. "And there's a young woman by the name of Natalia Hughes. I'd like Destinee's heart to go to her." Declan waited for positive confirmation from the doctor and grinned. "Great. Thank you!"

Stepping away from the blonde guy’s body, Declan noticed the doctor writing something down on his clipboard. ”Is there anyone specific you’d like to give Destinee’s remaining organs to?” He heard the doctor ask the young man as an older couple looked on, looking slightly confused. ”No, that’s all.” Blondie answered, completely unaware that he’d just given the dead girl’s to a total stranger and might need to pay for it.

Looking back at the body, Declan let out a sigh before quickly heading back up to heaven. Hopefully he’d still be allowed back on Earth after this.

As soon as Declan was in heaven, he found himself face to face with God, who seemed extremely disappointed. ”I’m so, so sorry!” Declan apologized sincerely, bowing his head. He could hear God let out a small sigh, apparently in deep thought. ”Declan… I’ll give you another chance. That girl you were meant to be watching has vanished. I need you to watch over her and eventually get her back here. It may take a while, however, since she’s still in denial.” Declan nodded, standing straight up before heading off, calling back. ”I won’t let you down this time! Promise!”

Jaison rubbed his head as the doctor asked if there was anyone else he wanted Destinee’s organs to go to. ”No, that’s all.” He muttered, slightly dazed. He couldn’t remember the past minute or so. It was like a huge blur, as though he’d blacked out. But, had he done so, surely he’d have woken up laying down with people hovering over him. He wasn’t sure how to explain it. He just felt out of it. Perhaps it was still him grieving. He had just lost the woman he was in love with. But still...It just seemed so odd! He’d lost loved ones before, but never had he had a minute when he pretty much blacked out and couldn’t remember a thing. He’d been talking to the doctor, demanding a liver for Hope, and suddenly everything when silent, though he could still see the doctor. But he had literally no idea what was happening. It just felt so weird. He decided not to speak of it to the doctor, however. He’d probably just be told it was shock over losing someone, and that probably was what it was.

"Jaison, are you okay?" He heard a woman's voice, which he figured was Destinee's mother, but he couldn't really make it out. He was still quite shaken up. "I...Yeah..." He forced the words out, swallowing a lump he hadn't realized formed in his throat. "I just...Need some air..." He silently left the room, a figure moving to follow behind him before another voice spoke, saying to give Jaison time alone. If only that were possible... He knew the second he stepped out of the hospital doors he'd be ambushed by reporters.

[title2]DESTINEE NIETO[/title2]

Destinee stomped away from God, away from her problems, away from her death. Arriving to a central part of this huge palace, the one she was finding her way around, she begged people for help, asking if they knew how she could return. Nobody offered her any assistance, they just gave her smiles, not understanding her emotions of pain, sadness, and suffering-for these did not exist in this new place. She pushed her hair out of her eyes, huffing. Destinee would just have to figure it out for herself. Like always, she could only rely on her own actions to get out of this mess. Her nonexistent heart seemed to swell, and she wished Jaison was there with her. She felt so alone, even with the millions of people around her. Destinee did not want to become like them, unable to feel sadness and pain. Although she hated the ache, without it, there was no real happiness. One emotion she knew she wanted to feel, needed even, was love. That's why she had to go back. Jaison was her soulmate, they had been together for years, they had a future. And all that was taken away in the matter of seconds? It couldn't be fair. Moving away from the crowd, she walked over to the edge of a cloud, she could see land and oceans from where she stood. Glancing down, she almost reached, as if she could enter back through. Destinee wondered for a moment, if Jaison was alright, since she was there when she passed. A tear glimmered on her cheek just thinking of his face falling as she went lifeless. What a terrible way to leave the Earth-was it so bad to want a second chance..

[title2]NATALIA HUGHES[/title2]

Natalia's heart broke in two halves when the nurse told her exactly what she did not want to hear."Miss Hughes, as your doctor for many years, I regret to inform you that after our last appointment, I found a large amount of swelling and protein loss in your heart."Her doctor's voice was gentle and calm, but every word stung and burned. Doctor Friedle's voice cracked on her next words, and Natalia's eyes filled with water."Without a heart transplant, it is very likely you will pass away in a week."her eyes widened at the time frame, at her deadline, and the phone dropped to the ground, Natalia's hand shaking with fear, shock, hurt, disbelief. The doctor's voice kept calling her name out, but Natalia couldn't listen to anymore, turning the device off, and throwing it into the back of the car. Her breaths ran deep and heavy, she felt as if she could faint, drift away and rest in peace. Her eyes desperately searched her surroundings for an escape, for a way out. She knew she couldn't drive in this condition, she shook all over and her face was wet with her tears. Natalia's tearful eyes landed on a nearby playground, one she had visited as a kid, it had been close to the graveyard and she would sometimes play on the swings after going to see her brother. Getting out of the car door with haste, she slammed the door. the glass rambled, luckily not breaking. She ran over, the exercise giving her a bit of strength. Plopping down on that same swing from years ago, she buried herself in the hood of her hoodie. Her hands rested on her cheeks, as she let herself sob to heart's content. Who knew how long she would be able to even do such a simple normal thing, It had began to drizzle. Almost as if the sky felt sadness for her too.

Declan quickly got to work searching for the girl. It was so much easier last time; he’d gotten such a big hint from Natalia’s television. ”Hey, have you seen any new blood around here?” Declan used the name for new angels despite the lack of blood running through any of their bodies anymore. A number of angels seemed to have seen her, but none of them could make up their minds.

About ready to give up, Declan began heading toward the edge of the cloud he was on. It seemed she may have already gotten back to earth. Jeez, he may as well be searching for a needle in a haystack if that were the case. As he walked, looking down at his feet, Declan suddenly bumped into someone. You’d think spirity angels can’t touch anyone, but nope. They can actually feel each other. ”Sorry…” He muttered before looking up. ”You! You’re the runner!” He quickly stood up as he recognized the face of the body he’d seen in the hospital. That had been a lot easier than he’d expected. Had he waited just a tiny bit longer as he had the first time, she might’ve made it to Earth on her own. Well then...The names Hughes. Declan Hughes. And I’m pretty much your babysitter until you learn to accept your death.” Declan crossed his arms, looking the girl up and down. ”Got it, kiddo?” Maybe he shouldn’t act so intimidating. She had just died… Plus Declan had kind of, sort of, stolen her heart for his little sister.

Jaison sighed as he reached the ground floor of the hospital. In the distance he could see the mob of paparazzi through the glass. All he wanted was some fresh air and alone time, but it seemed he wouldn’t even get that. As he shook his head, he heard a male voice. ”Jaison, right?” Jaison’s eyes widened slightly as he turned to find an older man standing behind him. ”I’m Hope’s father. The doctor’s just told me what you did.” The man’s eyes were glistening. “I...Thank you so much! I wish there was some way I could thank you…”

”No, no, it’s fine...Hope is a beautiful little girl; I’m glad I could help…” Jaison began to shake his head as he looked the man up and down. He had on a hoodie and some sweatpants and seemed to be about Jaison’s size. ”Actually… This may seem strange, but…” He glanced back at the glass doors. ”I’d really appreciate it if you could swap outfits with me.” The man looked out the door, seeming to understand, and nodded.

Thanking the man for the clothes swap, Jaison pulled the hood of the hoodie up over his head as far as he could to try and hide his face. Exiting a back entrance with a doctor’s permission, Jaison shoved his hands into the pockets and began walking around to the front. The paparazzi had seen him enter in his fancy suit, so surely they wouldn’t think twice about following him in this hoodie and sweatpants.

He quickly turned right, away from the paparazzi and began walking down the street. He’d been on this same street not long ago...Heading to see Destinee...Only this time he was leaving her behind… His heart panged and his eyes began to burn as he walked, speeding up his pace. In the near distance, he spotted an empty looking playground and headed to it as rain began to drizzle from the sky.

Jaison headed over to the park and spotted a girl sitting on the swings. She seemed pretty out of it, upset even. He frowned as his approached the other swing. ”Mind if I join?” He grabbed the swing’s chain and took a seat, taking in a deep breath. Finally there was silence. No paparazzi crowding him and asking about Destinee. He shut his eyes tightly and bit his cheek. ”You look like you’ve been having as horrible of a night as I have.”

[title2]DESTINEE NIETO[/title2]

Destinee took a deep breath, knowing her trip home wouldn't happen if she stayed here all day, looking down at the lives of her others instead of living her own. Turning around, she had not been paying attention, and was surprised to bump into something, or rather, someone. Practically almost falling backward, her eyes looked up and met the eyes of a boy. She blinked at him for a moment, appreciating his features, he was very handsome, she must admit. The nameless boy had said sorry, but then followed with something about her being the runner. Destinee shook her head, confused for a moment, what was he talking about? She didn't run from anyone..except for her protest against God earlier. She had walked away, she thought, but ah, that wasn't the point. Was this guy an angel? she pondered, observing him to see if she could somehow tell, as if there would be a hint."Well then...The names Hughes. Declan Hughes. And I’m pretty much your babysitter until you learn to accept your death.”As he crossed his arms, she couldn't help but do the same, raising her eyebrow. A babysitter? She was not some child. Besides, she would not stay dead, she would come back alive...somehow."Sorry, but I don't need a babysitter. Haven't for many years now. And I'm going to go back to Earth."she told him with as much confidence as she could put on. "Got it, kiddo?”Destinee gaped at the boy, he was bothering her to her last nerve. "If you're going to be following me around all day, you might as well try to help me return. I mean, unless you're too afraid you'll get in trouble."she said to him, smiling, giving him a challenge almost. Let's see if he would accept.

[title2]NATALIA HUGHES[/title2]

Of course just when Natalia desired to be alone, someone had to come. She was sobbing in her slightly ripped hoodie sleeves when she heard the jingle and jangle of the swing next to her. Her eyes practically shot up, landing on the inhabitant of the swing. He was wearing a hoodie too, and it was a bit difficult to make out his features. ”Mind if I join?”came from inside the hoodie, from the unknown face and the nameless identity. Although she was about to decline, he sat down anyways, and she stared at him for a moment. He had asked, hadn't he?! Apparently he did not need her permission, and she realized that was true in its own. It was a public swing. For a few seconds, silence still was in the air, which Natalia felt comforted in, no words, no thoughts, just calmness. She swung a bit on her swing, but no too much as too make her feel sick. She used to swing so high on these swings that her head would turn and run in circles, giving her headaches and nausea when she got off the swing. Strangely enough, she loved the exhilaration of it all, and would suffer through the pain to feel the thrill. Brought out of her childhood memories, "You look like you’ve been having as horrible of a night as I have.”she practically laughed out loud at this, amused at how wrong her life has gone. Natalia wondered for a moment what had gone on in his night, but she knew people could exaggerate too much at times. "You have no idea."she told him, dragging out the no. Her hoodie got a bit looser due to her playing with the knot, she felt nervous for some reason. "Have you ever wished that you were little again? When your toughest decisions was trying to choose a crayon, the times you cried were when you didn't get any dessert, when anything you did was an accomplishment...when you were innocent and life hadn't bitten off your head yet."she said softly, questioning him and herself. "I wish I could be like that again...don't you?"

Declan found back a chuckle as the girl gaped at him. He really wasn’t intimidating at all, but what do you expect from someone who had been an angel for literally their entire life! Angel wasn’t exactly the definition of ‘intimidating’. Heck, no one up here was very intimidating. At least not to Declan. He had never learned to feel intimidated.

Declan rolled his eyes as the girl suggested he help her escape; as if he’d do that-- "I mean, unless you're too afraid you'll get in trouble." Dang it… She’d already hit his weak spot. Declan certainly wasn’t one to turn down a challenge. Sure he didn’t always succeed, but he always tried. It was a miracle he still had his wings. He guessed God knew that he was truly good despite all his screw ups, no matter has massive.

Dropping his not-at-all-intimidating facade, Declan began walking to the edge of the cloud until only his heels remained on the fluffy whiteness. ”You sure you want to do this? First time back down there isn’t always pretty. You may see ugly sides of people you once trusted.” Declan actually envied that other spirits could see that, though. He’d never met anyone on earth and got to see every side of them whenever. He was sure it sucked for some person to be dead and then go back and find their spouse with someone else, but at least they could. Declan couldn’t do that. All he could do was watch people that didn’t truly know him as if they were his own personal television show. Declan looked back at Destinee and held out a hand to her. ”If you still want to do this, let’s get going.”

You’d think Jaison would keep the silence for as long as possible, barely ever being able to get any, but as he sat in the drizzling rain, listening to the faint sound of the swings swinging back and forth, he spoke up. Perhaps, for once, complete wasn’t for the best. The paparazzi certainly wouldn’t be better, but just someone to talk to… The silence allowed him to be alone with just his thoughts, which were all on Destinee. It gradually made him more and more depressed. Tonight was supposed to be a good night, but instead it was quite possibly the worst of his night.

Jaison was quite thankful when the girl beside him spoke up, snapping him from his thoughts. His thoughts were just a downward spiral and would just make him feel worse and worse. "You have no idea." Dang, had she really had that bad of a night? He wondered what had happened to her, but decided not to ask. If it was even half as crappy as Jaison’s night, she certainly wouldn’t want some stranger asking about it. Though lots of people often over-exaggerated about such small things being the worst day ever.

Looking down at his feet, Jaison continued rocking his swing back and forth when the girl spoke up once more, asking if he ever wished if he were a kid again. Things certainly would be much simpler. For one thing, if he woke up tomorrow and his life were all just some childhood dream, Destinee would still be alive! He shook his head as the girl continued to speak, saying she wished she could be like that again. ”And most of us couldn’t wait to grow up.” He muttered as the girl finished what she was saying. Honestly, Jaison didn’t mind being grown up. But then, he’d been famous for most of his life, starting out acting in commercials and moving on to music. The only ‘normal’ part of childhood Jaison could remember was when his grandfather was still alive. They’d always bond over Spiderman, the coolest superhero. The day he heard the news of his grandfather’s passing, he’d gone out and got his first tattoo in memory of the man. He lightly rubbing his left bicep, where the tattoo was located, through the hoodie.

”Things certainly would be much simpler then…” He shut his eyes, picturing Destinee’s big, brown eyes… He long, curly, black hair he’d run his fingers through whenever they’d kiss. Her beautiful smile. The cute birthmark on her lower back… Jaison muttered a curse as he felt his eyes sting with tears. He pulled the hood up higher over his head, turning slightly away from the girl. He wasn’t even trying to hide his identity anymore, just the tears in his eyes.

[title2]DESTINEE NIETO[/title2]

She knew she had him when she saw the look in his eyes. She recognized that look, she had seen it on the face of Jaison a numerous amount of times, the look of giving up and giving in. Thinking about him once again for the millionth time since she was dragged up here by an unfortunate accident, she knew she had to go back. They had unfinished business, and she couldn't live without him. Destinee certainly didn't want to be stuck with this guy for all eternity."You sure you want to do this? First time back down there isn’t always pretty. You may see ugly sides of people you once trusted.” For a moment, she felt a sense of hesitation, but quickly she recovered, straightening herself up from her slouch. She shook her head, tempted to roll her eyes, but knew that would just seem silly to the towering giant. Jaison doesn't have an ugly side thank you very much. I'll just come back to my life how it was."she replied, her voice firm and determined. Destinee had no doubts, nothing had changed. She hadn't even been gone a day! What could happen in a day, really?

She returned from her thoughts to find a waiting hand. She stared at it for a moment, a bit bewildered by the fact it was waiting at all. Having been with Jaison practically forever, that hand had always been the same, soft to the touch. Declan's hand seemed completely dissimilar, in both shape, and by the looks of it, softness. Nevertheless, she whisked away her thoughts and put her hand in his. She felt uncomfortable with how well the fit was. "Take me to Neverland, Peter Pan."she said sarcastically, hoping to lighten the mood. Although, would he even understand the reference? Oy.

[title2]NATALIA HUGHES[/title2]

Just when Natalia was beginning to think her thoughts were foolish and kiddish, he replied, leading her to breathe a sigh of relief. Her mouth formed a small smile at the irony of it all, two strangers, talking about their problems so vaguely and broad, with no idea what either of their lives were actually like.”And most of us couldn’t wait to grow up.”Her eyes drifted away to the other side of the old public playground as she suddenly felt a pang of guilt. Natalia almost felt in the wrong for being upset, for wanting to be young, when her brother never even had the chance to be either. She often felt this feeling, almost as if she was the one who caused...it. No matter how many times her parents told her otherwise, a voice just kept rising up, berating her to believe just the opposite. Sometimes she wondered if she had died also before birth, would they be together? As brother and sister, playing Superman, and Tag, and she would try to braid his hair while he murmured annoyingly? It seemed almost impossible, as she had never had such an experience. Was childhood just an imaginary playground, full of hopes and dreams, only to lead to disappointment? ”Things certainly would be much simpler then…” hearing the sound of his voice, she was startled, rushed out of her doubts and questions to the universe.

Although simple sounded kind of nice, she had always lived her life complicated. Natalia was so use to complications, it almost seemed empty without problems. And, they had made her stronger after all. "Yeah...but all the things in my life have been complicated. Even the good things are never simple. If they were, we wouldn't need to work for them. And...we become stronger through the complications. Maybe somehow something good will happen despite all of...this."she tried to firmly say, almost as if convincing herself in the process. With no reply yet, she kicked her foot at the sand, watching as the dust picked up and flew with the wind. Following with her eyes, she turned to find a saddening picture. The guy was crying, and she frantically wondered and searched her mind for how to reply, for what to do."Umm..ummm"she instinctively blurted, searching her pockets of her jeans for something to give him, possibly a tissue. Yeah, a tissue. That would be good right about now! Practically ripping the pockets straight off, all she found was a darkened penny, although one half was shiny and new. She laughed at how much it represented the idea of yin and yang. Without thinking, she leaned over, placing the penny in his palm. "Something good will come out of this...I know it."she piped, trying to sound positive. Turning back to her swing, her hair somehow laced into the chain, and she fell flat-ward on to her face. Completely embarrassed, she wondered if she could just lay there and blend in with the sand.

Declan let out a small chuckle at the girl's response, unable to fight the urge to shake his head at her. "You'd be surprise what can happen in such short time." Declan muttered. He seen it way too many times; a loved one would die and their significant other would go off to someone else; sometimes even a side fling the now-angel had been entirely unaware of. The looks on their faces...Declan had never learned to feel himself, but he could always see the pain in their eyes. Though there was occasionally the faithful ones, who didn't move on quickly, if at all. Who knows, perhaps this Jaison guy could be one of them. Declan doubted it, though. The good ones were typically little, old folk who had already lived their lives and didn't plan for it to last much longer. Even Declan could tell how depressing that still was, though.

A small grin tugged at Declan's lips as Destinee took his hand. Two trips to Earth in under twenty-four hours? This was his lucky day. ...Well, minus the whole letting this girl die, thing. Declan raised an eyebrow as the girl made a comment. Was she really quoting a Disney film about never growing up? And to a guy who never got a truly grow up. He winced mentally. He had never actually seen a movie, but he'd heard plenty about them from other angels, as well as watched brief parts while visiting Earth. He'd occasionally visit his little sister and watch films beside her until it was time for him to go.

Declan shook his head, tugging lightly at Destinee's arm and pulling her off the cloud. Just as he was about to explain flying to the girl, he decided to screw with her instead for that Peter Pan comment. Sure, she didn't know about the whole never living or growing up thing, but ah well. "Think of a wonderful thought; any merry little thought." With that, he let go of Destinee's hand. He'd help once the girl started panicking or realized that wasn't how you actually fly, but for now he could use a moment of amusement.

Jaison frowned as this girl explained how her life had always been complicated. His life was pretty complicated as well, but that was only because of the fame. Whatever could be going on in her life, he wondered. He fought back a sigh as he looked away and began thinking about Destinee again. Her face, her smell, her laugh. Gah. Biting his lip, Jaison felt the tears forming in his eyes and looked up. He could feel his hood moving a bit, but didn't bother to fix it. What were the odds of it falling off anyway? Besides, it wasn't like there was anyone else here. Well, aside from this girl.

As his tears spilled out, Jaison could hear the girl blurt out sounds. Confused, he looked directly at the girl and found her searching through her pockets. He raised an eyebrow, slightly interested, but mostly lost. What in the world was she looking for? Whatever it was, it seemed she wanted to give it to Jaison, so he held out his hand. Once the object was placed in his palm, he pulled it back to look. Had she just given him...A penny...? Really? Did he look to be homeless or something? Still, Jaison couldn't fight back his chuckle as the girl explained that something good would come out of this.

Hearing a small thump, Jaison looked away from his penny to find the girl on the ground, face down. "Are you okay?!" Shoving the penny into his pocket, Jaison hopped off of the swing and kneeled on one knee beside the girl. "Here," He held a hand out to her to grab so he could help her up.

[title2]DESTINEE NIETO[/title2]

She scoffed at his reply once again. Sure, a short time, maybe. But a short time wouldn't exactly fit under this category. More like a teeny tiny bit of time, she would say. While life feels short, it's the longest thing. A day out of the average 80 amount of years a person could live is little to nothing. Besides, her and Jaison were different from the kind of people she suspected he had met. She knew him well, from his favorite color, to his favorite food, to his face expressions, his laugh, his angry-looking face that was pretty pathetic to say the least. People don't change in a matter of seconds. He's always been the same, she's always been the same, they always would be a "they" a "us" a "them". This factor gave her reassurance once again, as Declan was so unconvinced.

As he tugged on her hand, bringing her up, Destinee's eyes widen in a moment of realization and epiphany. Ever since she was a child, she had been afraid of flying of any kind. She had assumed they would just kind of,well, teleport, just be there with the blink of an eye! She was definitely not prepared. Her parents once had tried to spin her around the air, but they were shocked by her cry of distress rather than of joy. Flying wasn't exhilarating, it was frightening. Destinee liked being on the ground, with no uncertainties, no surprises, no doubts. Her hand tightened around his, her eyes closing shut, looking for a safe-haven inside her mind.

For a couple seconds, her body relaxed, and she began to wonder if her fear of flying was actually foolish and idiotic. "Think of a wonderful thought; any merry little thought." At his suggestion, she was about to reply with a snarky comment about how she could think wonderful thoughts when she had died moments before. All of a sudden, she felt a sharp wind heading up towards her face, and she wondered why it was coming out of nowhere. Since when did wind move up? She decided to readjust her hand on Declan's, but became muddled after her hand grasped at nothing. Destinee's hand searching around it's area for something to grab on to, but nothing. Her eyes were pushed open, feeling uncomfortable due to the sudden rush. Her eyes screamed, seeing so many colors, and an area coming a her quickly, and she had nothing to land with. What was happening? Was this all a trick?

She began to shake all over, an instinct to her fear. She had now learned: falling was much scarier than flying. "Idiot! I'll get you for this!"she yelled to Declan, irritated with him for doing this to her. She did no ask for this. As she had seen on a television show, years back. she spread her arms out, hoping to make the falling go slower. Oh, if only she had a parachute. Maybe even if she were to fall into a body of water!~ Nevertheless, she shut her eyes, bracing herself for a painful impact. Sure, she was dead, but she could still feel pain.

[title2]NATALIA HUGHES[/title2]

Despite her efforts to camouflage into the sand, she did not have the proper attire to do so-or rather the opportunity. Well, it was worth an attempt. Dusting the sand off her as she sat up in a siting position, on her knees, she sighed at he now stain on her eggshell white jeans. These were five bucks from the secondhand boutique. Ugh, she would not be able to afford new ones. Perhaps she could get the stain off in the wash. "Are you okay?!"came from the man, as he offered to help her up. His hand held out, she almost reached for it, but shrunk back. Natalia did not feel particularly feel comfortable touching someone she did not know well. Turning her head to his face to apologize for the kickback, she found herself gaping at his appearance, even recoiling back.

"Jaison Crawford?"she yelled wildly, her face equal with shock and utter disgust. Just at that moment, a bunch of flashes came from behind the thick bushes, blinding Natalia, as she covered her eyes from the strong light. Men and women with high definition cameras popped up, reporters from all sides challenging Jaison about this situation. One reporter began formulating a fake story to her cameraman. With all the noise, Natalia could only hear certain words, such as "new girlfriend", "proposal?" and many questions being asked to the popstar. She found herself being shoved and harassed in the moment too, as people wildly assumed she was Jaison's new girl.

Pushing them away, she yelled at them to leave her alone. Distressed and uncomfortable, she attempted to move through the maze of cameramen and reporters. Not wanting to touch Jaison, even more now that she knew who he was, a compete douche-bag with no concern for anyone, she grabbed the hem of his shirt, pulling him away from the sea of reporters. Natalia dragged him all the way to her car, which was luckily hidden among a series of trees, and as she went with haste, they had lost the majority of them, while the others continued on their merry way, looking for others to bug. Her hand let go of him after she practically forced him into the passenger seat, as she unhappily made her way to the drivers. As she sat down, crashing her head into the wheel of the car, she remembered what she had saw on the ratty old television. Destinee, his long-time girlfriend, had just died. For now, she would put aside her dislike for him, as she would never see him after this incident anyways. "So...you're Jaison Crawford. Every teenage girl's dream."she thought aloud, personally half-scolding herself for being rude. "I heard about what happened."she said quietly, looking away. "I liked her. The world will miss her."she attempted, possibly trying to give sympathy and some reassurance. Natalia felt uncomfortable then, and she turned on the radio.

Declan rolled his eyes at Destinee’s scoff; typical reaction from a newly deceased when another angel even suggested the idea of the former’s old lover moving on. It was the cold, hard truth, though. Every one of them saw it eventually when they found a way down to earth and caught their so called “forever” in the dark with someone else. Once you’re gone, it’s not too long before people start to forget you ever existed. Having never even existed, Declan never even got to experience that! Though his little sister, who had never even gotten to meet him, still cared for him; you’d think she’d care even less about some stranger that would’ve shared her blood than somebody who just lost “the love of their life”. But the latter always seemed to move on pretty quickly Declan had notice, aside from a select few.

Noticing the girl was still lost in her own little head, Declan held out a hand and waited for her to return to their reality. Once she did, Destinee had made a Pete Pan reference which had slightly irked Declan. Gripping Destinee’s hand, Declan decided to be a jerk as he pulled her off of the cloud, telling her the Peter Pan secret to flying. Letting go of the girl’s hand, Declan watched the scene unfold and feigned worry. ”Oh crud… I forgot the pixie dust… Just flap your arms; that should work!” He smirked as he watched Destinee freak out, eventually slamming her eyes shut.. Clearly she didn’t have the sense to just picture herself as weightless and flying. Worrying that you’re falling just makes you fall faster; Destinee wouldn’t know this, though. Her lovely teacher had not told her yet.

Declan’s eye’s widened slightly as he noticed Destinee begin to shake; maybe she was afraid of heights or something… She was certainly falling quicker than most others. "Idiot! I'll get you for this!" Declan chuckled as the girl yelled at him; at least she was okay enough to snap at him. He didn’t want to scare a dead girl to death.

Okay, enough of that. Declan had had his fun. With a small yawn, Declan flew underneath Destinee, catching her bridal style. ”I can see we’re going to have to work on the whole flying thing.” He joked sarcastically. ”Just close your eyes so you don’t piss your pants or something out of fear.” With that, Declan sped up and, with Destinee in his arms, hurried back to the land of the living.

Jaison stared at the girl in shock; he’d looked away for a mere second, and now she was on her hands and knees in the sand! Concern washed over him as he stood up, holding a hand out to her, and asked if she was alright. He noticed her hand lift up a bit as if going to take his, but she quickly shrunk it back. He didn’t blame her. Some random guy hiding his face in a hoodie randomly showing up at the empty park you’re in then sitting beside you for some deep conversation… It was a pretty odd situation. Now, if the hoodie was out of the picture… That’d just be a very, very bad situation for Jaison. Little did he know, however, the hood had been slipping down, away from his face, and from the right angle, this girl would be able to see him perfectly.

And conveniently find that right angle, she did. Jaison’s eyes widened as the girl before him gaped and yelled out his now. Crud. His first instinct had been to move forward and cover the girl’s mouth, but he got distracted by her reaction… Most girls would be overly excited and freaking out right now… Asking for a photo or even his hand in marriage. Still in his kneeling position, with his hand slightly extended, Jaison stared in confusion at the girl. She looked shocked, that was normal, but… Jaison swore she looked disgusted… That was certainly not a reaction he’d ever received before! Especially not from any females! At least, not a reaction he’d ever noticed.

Suddenly lights began flashing all around. Lights Jaison knew far too well.. The girl’s yelling had attracted the paparazzi. Jaison lost his hood completely as he quickly stood up. He glanced down at the girl as the reporters closed in to them, bearing microphones and notepads.

“Jaison! Who is this girl!?”

“Jaison Crawford’s new girlfriend?”

“Jaison, have you been having an affair this whole time?”

“Jaison is this truly the girl you intended to propose to?! Were you actually breaking up with Destinee tonight before the accident took place?!”

Jaison clenched his fists, his eyebrow twitching at the accusations being thrown at him. Jaison loved Destinee! He would never do any of that to her! He especially wouldn’t go and hook up with some other woman the night she died!

He could faintly hear the girl he’d been sitting with yelling for the paparazzi to leave her alone; he noticed a few trying to shove microphone’s at her. He felt a pang of guilt for dragging her into this situation; had he not bothered her earlier. Had he just kept walking and left the girl alone. Neither of them would be in this situation. ”Ask me whatever you’d like, but please leave this girl alone!”

Suddenly, Jaison felt a tug at his shirt, and suddenly he was being pulled out and away from the sea of reporters… By the girl… Oh, that certainly wouldn’t look good in his defense that he doesn’t even know this woman… But somehow, in all the confusion, the paparazzi didn’t seem to notice the get away. They’d certainly noticed that the two were both missing now, though.

Jaison’s eyes widened as he found himself being pulled into the passenger seat of a car. Ignoring the fact of how bad this would look if someone caught this on their phone camera or something… Who the heck was this girl!? Why was she dragging Jaison into her car. She hadn’t seemed harmful before when they alone, but now that she knew he was Jaison Crawford… Just as he was about to make a quick escape out of the car, the girl got into the driver’s seat, crashing her head into the steering wheel. She definitely seemed distracted; maybe he could still get away even with her in the car!

"So...you're Jaison Crawford. Every teenage girl's dream." The girl spoke up, distracting Jaison from concocting his escape plan. He could barely hear the girl mention that she’d heard what happened as she looked away. She meant Destinee, didn’t she… Jaison frowned as he leaned back in the passenger seat, looking out the dashboard window. "I liked her. The world will miss her." Jaison stood silent. Had she dragged him here just to give condolences? And what was with the look of disgust he’d seen on her face earlier? He then noticed the girl switch the radio on, possibly to break the uncomfortable silence. One of his own songs came on, one he’d written for Destinee. He had a bad feeling that any song he’d written about his deceased love would now be played over and over for the next week or so. Jaison bit his cheek, fighting back tears as he glanced at the window, listening to his own voice sing about the girl he loved. The girl he’d planned to spend the rest of his life with, not realizing she’d be taken from him all too soon.

Maybe someday, some way she'll see.
She's the best thing, best thing that has ever happened to me-eh.
I know we'll make it through if we belie-ieve.
She'll see I always want her to be, right here next to me.
Song:

[title2]DESTINEE NIETO[/title2]
She swore she was dead.

Well..she was already dead, wasn't she? It was difficult to think about-the idea of her being dead that is. There were times she had felt dead inside, but she was hoping for her physical being to live to the age of at least 80. Now, not only was she stuck with this arrogant angel of sorts, she was also going to suffer through immense pain. Her eyes opened a moment, realizing the "splat" wasn't occurring as fast as she first assumed. Was this one of those never-ending falls? The ones you only see in movies? When Destinee woke up this morning, this was the last place she expected to be-in fact, it wasn't even an option.

After all, besides the fact that she was an entire new location, and that she was with this tease, there was no other evidence or proof she was actually dead. After all, she looked the same in both appearance and heart. Weren't people in heaven just supposed to be souls? She wasn't certain, after all, she was in no way religious. Sure, on Easter or Christmas she dressed up in a safe-for-work dress and made an appearance at her local church, but besides that, Christianity was foreign to her. One of those religions must of had the right idea although, since she was apparently in heaven.

Suddenly feeling a woosh of wind besides her, she gasped as she quickly was picked up by Declan. In a sort of bridal style, she squirmed a bit, as she imagined a similar experience with Jaison, not a guy she just met."I can see we’re going to have to work on the whole flying thing.”She resisted commenting back, not wanting to ruin her chances of seeing Jaison.”Just close your eyes so you don’t piss your pants or something out of fear.”Her eyes scanning their surroundings as they flew, she began to object against his ridicules. "You can't possibly be suggesting that you were a pro when you first found yourself here."she insisted, poking him on the side of his hip with her free hand, the other holding on to his palm."I bet you were a handful to your mother as a teenager."she joked, remembering Jaison's constant pranks towards his parents-ones that often got him grounded for weeks.Changing the topic, she began to wonder how he had found himself here."How did you..for lack of a better term, pass away?"She turned her glance towards him, trying to see his thoughts through his alluring(rofl) eyes. "Wait! Let me guess. Tried to fly and found it wasn't as simple as you insist?"she laughed at him. While she meant it in a friendly way, it could definitely come off as jeering.

[title2]NATALIA HUGHES[/title2]

Her distraction turned out to be more stressful and uncomfortable than their previous situation. While she expected a pop song, maybe from Justin Bieber or the newly popular Ariana Grande, she hadn't realized that news spread fast, especially when you were a celebrity like Jaison. Her ears were instead met with the sound of the charming voice of the very boy sitting right beside her, his face dropping completely as he turned towards the window. Her hands flattered as she was torn between ending the personal serenade or letting it play out till it's end. Instinctively, when her favorite part came on, she began to sing along to the chorus. Natalia soon realized her mouth was not just forming and lip syncing, one hand covering her mouth and another turning the single off, her eyes wide."A-ah, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to.."she apologized, but her ramblings were cut off as she met eyes with another.

A news truck was watching from behind, the employees crouching as one filmed them both with high definition. Panicking, she quickly turned on the car without thought, slamming her foot on the pedal as she turned the wheel wildly. As it wasn't worse enough that she would be driving on the road in a panic, she also wasn't the best driver. After 3 attempts at a driver's license years before, the man finally gave pity on her and practically handed the license over without a fourth test. As she turned onto the highway, she almost slid right into a tree, cringing as they screeched across the pavement. She sighed in relief once they made it onto the road, but soon found the news car was still stalking them!"Oh gosh, oh gosh- they are still following us!?"she stammered, her breaths heavy and long. We'll have to go to my house...but don't get any weird ideas!"she glared, still not trusting her long-life enemy and villain in her eyes.

The ride was definitely interesting you could say. The amount of honking left ringing in her eyes as they drove into the driveway. The car now was festooned with a dent, one that came from an old man with broken glasses. So, at least that wasn't HER fault. Every red light she ignored, and eventually, most likely due to her impressive driving skills, the news car was nowhere in sight. She finally rested her foot on the brakes, turning the key and taking it out. Clearly the girl was not ready for a racing competition anytime soon. Opening her door, she gestured for Jaison to follow her in. She wondered quietly if he was shocked by her ratty apartment-sure the outside appearance wasn't beautiful, but the inside was really a charmer!

Having had his fun, Declan caught the falling dead girl in his arms; he didn’t want to scare the poor thing to death! Not that she could really die again. He felt a poke at his chest as the girl grabbed onto his hand in fear. She began accusing him of being unable to fly when he’d first showed up. The brunette wasn’t entirely wrong, but it wasn’t for the reasons she’d thought. No, the reason he hadn’t been able to fly was because he was literally a fetus at his time of death. Not a grown woman like Destinee--er, not a grown man, that is. "I bet you were a handful to your mother as a teenager." The girl continued pestering him about his life, not letting up. Declan found his eyebrow twitching, he was starting to get a little….well….ticked? Which was odd, considering he never truly felt emotions. Declan fought the urge to shake his head as he continued to lower the two of them closer to the earth, going slow as not to freak Destinee out too much. Declan wasn’t always a huge jerk! Considering he’s a dead guy who hasn’t had interaction in literal years, the universe at least owed him that much.

Destinee soon picked up her pestering once more, however, questioning and guessing how Declan had, well, kicked the bucket! She’d assumed Declan decided he was Peter Pan one day and tried to fly. He didn’t really feel much like continuing this girl’s little game. She really didn’t need to know much about his death anyway; it wasn’t like it mattered to her or anything, so there would be absolutely no harm in him making up some fake death story for her! It’d definitely sound way cooler than “I was miscarried” as well.

Declan grinned as he looked down at the way too curious ghostly girl. “Well you see…” He trailed off, fixing his gaze blankly into the distance as if remembering the moment of his fake death. “I was… I was involved in some…. Let’s say dark things…” He shrugged slightly and shook his head. That was one plus to his lack of emotions… It wasn’t too easy for new souls to tell when he was faking something. ”I got caught up in some underground trading, and screwed some stuff up… Then, before I knew it….” He made one of his hands into a gun, yelling out to imitate the sound of a bullet being shot. Declan figured Destinee would be able to figure out the ending to the story without him having to vocally finish it.

Sure, there were a couple flaws in his story… Like the fact that someone involved in dark stuff as Declan claimed probably would’ve gone downstairs instead… Or gotten stuck in limbo. He’d stick to his story for now, though! Before the brunette could catch on herself, Declan grinned. ”You’d better hold on tight!” Before Destinee could have a chance to react, Declan gave up on being nice and began rapidly free-falling down to the earth. Their landing was surprisingly graceful for how quickly they’d been going, but then again… Declan had been doing this for literally his entire ‘life’! Setting Destinee down onto her feet, Declan gave her a less than friendly smile. ”Come on! Let’s go find your lover boy and his new lover!” He winked quickly at her before shoving his hands into his pockets and turning away to go find this girl’s old boyfriend..

--

As Jaison stared out the window of this strange woman’s car, one of his songs suddenly came on the radio. They’d mentioned beforehand that it was a dedication to Destinee, which brought a frown to his lips. This would probably happen a lot for the upcoming weeks; it was very common for the radio stations to do stuff like this after a celebrity’s passing. Jaison bit down hard on his lip, when suddenly he heard Natalia singing along to the song. Subconsciously, he let out a dry chuckle; she wasn’t the worst singer, but… She wasn’t quite the best either. The blonde man was suddenly jerked to attention, however, as his body was pushed forward into his seatbelt; for whatever reason Natalia had stomped down on the gas. Peeking out the back dashboard, Jaison spotted the reason… A news van was not all too far behind them. He let out a groan as he slid down slightly into the passenger seat. The girl’s driving grew faster and faster; was this how the driver that killed Destinee had been driving? Jaison gripped his hands tightly onto the seat as he slammed his eyes shut. Did this woman have her license, he wondered?! He gasped as he suddenly jerked to the side, his eyes forced open in time to see them just barely missing a tree. A part of him, deep down, slightly wondered if this crazy driver had been the one that hit Destinee… Though, in the girl’s defense, he supposed the wild driving was just because of the paparazzi chasing them down. ”We'll have to go to my house...but don't get any weird ideas!" The girl suddenly exclaimed as it seemed the news van wouldn’t be letting up any time soon. He wasn’t too fond of the idea, but he supposed it was the best option. When she threw that remark of warning him not to try anything though… That certainly ticked him off.

Jaison noticed the girl flash a glare at him, and he flashed one right back. What kind of person did this girl think he was!? The woman Jaison loved had literally just died! Heck, even if he was single without a dead girlfriend, he would never try to take advantage of anyone! He just wasn’t that kind of man. Despite popular belief, being famous didn’t automatically make a person a total jerk! Still holding on to the seat for dear life, Jaison looked behind him as they passed red light after red light; they seemed to be quickly losing the news van. It was a miracle no cops had tried to stop them yet, especially since every newsstation was busy talking about the night’s hit and run… You’d think the cops would be keeping a sharp eye out for any dangerous looking drivers.

After a few minutes, the car finally came to a stop outside a ratty, run-down looking home. Jaison stared at the place in disbelief as Natalia tried to beckon him to follow her inside. This was not someone’s home! This… This was the setting of a horror movie! Glancing behind him, Jaison tried to find a sign of some human life watching. What if this girl was actually a psycho? What if this was all part of a plan to lure Jaison to her ‘home’ and do away with him there?! Sure, he’d at least get to be with Destinee again, but…. This certainly was not the way Jaison wanted to go! Biting down hard on his lip that he could taste the metallic flavor of his own blood, Jaison reluctantly climbed out of the car, following Natalia inside the horrifying apartment. Once inside, however, it was like they’d stepped into a completely different place! It wasn’t anything too glamorous or amazing, but… It wasn’t the bloody horror scene the outside had led him to believe it would be either! Keeping an eye on Natalia at all times, Jaison headed to the window to double check for paparazzi; he knew just how sneaky those people could be. If, by some blessing, Natalia wasn’t out for his blood, the press would have a field day if one of them had caught them enter this...suspicious place, er…’apartment’…

[title2]DESTINEE NIETO[/title2]
Destinee instantly regretted the jeer. After all, what if he had died in some horrible way, too gruesome to describe or relive?, she questioned herself, cringing. “Well you see…”she blinked at him wildly, surprised he was actually going to tell her his story. She wouldn't, if he didn't already know. After all, they were strangers. Destinee only knew who he was now, not who he was before. “I was… I was involved in some…. Let’s say dark things…”Dark things? She yelled, giving him wide and confused eyes. Could this be a killer?! There was no way, right? Sure, he was quite annoying and a bit sarcastic but that did not equal a killer.”I got caught up in some underground trading, and screwed some stuff up… Then, before I knew it…." Destinee gasped as he lifted his hands into a gun-like motion."That sounds harsh."she whispered, her hands covering her shoulders protectively. "Underground trading really isn't something you should dabble in though.."she warned, although she wondered quietly to herself why she was doing so. As if they had underground trading in heaven. "Speaking of criminal activity, wouldn't that mean.."she trailed, wondering how he got into heaven after his villainous deeds. Not finishing her question, she decided he might of been a good person besides his one fault. Everybody makes mistakes. But, she was watching him more closely, now that she knew. "Never-mind." Destinee shook it off, moving her hair to the left side.

”You’d better hold on tight!" "What!"she blurted, her arms clinging to her chest. "What do you mean hol-"she started, being stopped by her screams as they flung towards the earth with no control at all. While it felt scary and frightening, Destinee also felt a strange sort of exhilaration from the experience. While she expected a harsh landing, she was met with a rather pleasant soft  greeting with the ground. ”Come on! Let’s go find your lover boy and his new lover!”She rolled her eyes at his fake enthusiasm."You just don't get it. Jaison only loves me, and I love him. Simple as that."she scowled to his back, growing annoyed at the boy's antics.

Following after him, she looked at her surroundings. "Where are we anyway?", she questioned, observing the new location. Her eyes and mouth were met with an unpleasant sight and smell. "Oh gosh, what is this place! Did you bring me here as a joke?"she yelled frustrated, her hands in fists. Pointing to the sad excuse for an apartment, she declared, "Jaison would never come to such a place, there's just no way she's here." Crossing her arms, she began to turn on one foot towards the other direction. "Now, if you don't mind, could you actually lead me to Jaison now?"she asked with a smile, hoping to persuade him into dropping his trickery and actually helping her with what she needed to do. He was her guardian angel, after all! She expected more, she had to say.

[title2]NATALIA HUGHES[/title2]

Walking into her charming apartment, she quickly dropped her bags, not even paying attention to Jaison behind her. Quickly watering her small window plants, which were growing into lovely hibiscuses, she sighed a breathe of relief, kicking off her shoes and falling onto her couch with ease. Laying her head back, she almost fell asleep as she closed her eyes for a moment. Her eyes fluttering over to her new house-guest for a moment, she laughed. "If you're worried the pop might find ya, I can tell you there's no way they would ever expect you to be here."she exclaimed, her hands gesturing around to her small, cheap, but somehow perfect-for-her apartment. Noticing the superstar's uneasiness, she sighed, jumping up unto her barefeet and grabbing a jug of juice from the fridge. Pouring it delicately into two glasses, she walked over to him and gave him a small smile, practically forcing the cup into his left hand. "It's Apple Juice."she told him simply, taking a sip of her own. As he failed to follow her footsteps, she blinked at him strangely. "It's good for you."she told him, pushing the drink to his lips.

Leaving him to replenish, she placed her glass on the table. Her small puppy, Maxxy, ran out from the bedroom, his ears raised and his tongue sticking out excitedly. Seeing the puppy brought a grin to Natalia's face, her arms opening as she kneeled down to greet him. As the puppy licked her all over, Natalia laughing along, the table rattled, the juice toppling over and spilling all over the floor. "Oh, gosh darn it!"she spoke aloud, standing onto her feet with her hands on her hips. "No, no, this won't do, this won't do."she proclaimed, walking out of the room.

A couple minutes later, she returned with a variety of cleaning supplies. Picking up her mop, Natalia gestured the item over to Jaison. Met with confusion, she sighed, giving him a look of disappointment. "If you're staying over, you might as well help and clean up."she told him as she began to wipe the table of the sticky substance. "Besides, I wasn't even thirsty, I was just trying to be polite."she nodded, placing the blame of the spilled drink into his awaiting hands.

Once they were safely on the land, Destinee began to argue against Declan’s claims that Jaison would be another woman. Just like every other dead woman who’d left a man behind, she began arguing that this Jaison guy loved her and she loved him back. Boy, did this girl have a lot to learn. Life moves on once you’re gone! The ‘love of your life’ isn’t just going to just sit around, depressed, forever. The dead always needed to find this out the hard way, though.

Declan rolled his eyes as he tuned out the brunette girl’s voice. She was very obviously annoyed, and the feeling was quickly becoming mutual. Did she even know how to shut up? Ignoring Destinee, Declan began heading in the direction Jaison was in. Declan had been dead for a while now, so he’d gotten pretty used to hunting down specific people on earth. Plus, even as a dead person, He had some idea of who this Jaison guy was. Some rich, popular pop star. Declan was pretty sure his sister hated Jaison guts; the girl had a hate club against him, if the angel remembered correctly.

As they arrived at their destination, Declan raised an eyebrow at the apartment in front of him. Had Destinee not spoken up, Declan may not have even been aware that the girl had actually followed him. "Jaison would never come to such a place, there's just no way he's here." Declan heard her, but didn’t bother to acknowledge the statement.

Something was up… He knew this apartment… This was Natalia’s home; Declan had been here plenty of times before. But… Why was Jaison here? Maybe Destinee was right. Maybe Declan had made a mistake? He knew it wasn’t possible, though. An angel's senses were never wrong! Jaison had to be here… But what in the world was this jerk of a celebrity doing in Declan's baby sister’s apartment!? "Now, if you don't mind, could you actually lead me to Jaison now?" Declan snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of Destinee’s voice. Glancing back over his shoulder, Declan noticed that Destinee had begun to walk away. The girl seemed thoroughly convinced that Declan was pulling some kind of joke on her.

Declan frowned, looking back at the house. He certainly wished it was a joke, considering where they were, but sadly it was the truth. ”You can wander the entire earth as many times as you’d like, but this is the only place you’ll find your beloved Jaison.” He spat the final word bitterly.

Letting out a deep breath, Declan began walking toward the house, preparing himself for the worst. If this man was anything like all the others he’d seen before, Declan knew he wouldn’t like what he might see. He briefly considered sending Destinee in first, to scope things out, but then he wouldn’t be able to wreak as much havoc!

Not even checking to see if Destinee was still behind him, Declan entered the house. He was extremely surprised by the sight he saw, though. There, right in front of him, was Jaison, as expected. But… For some reason he was holding a mop and cleaning something up while Natalia wiped something off the table. Declan raised an eyebrow as he watched in confusion. Luckily he didn’t walk in on what he’d been expecting, but… What in the world was going on!?

As Jaison peeked out the window, checking for any signs of paparazzi, he could hear Natalia laughing behind him. She explained that the paparazzi would never expect him to be there, but… What if they’d  managed to follow them! What if one of them had actually kept up, and was just very stealthy? Plus, they could probably recognize Natalia's car if they found it. Jaison reluctantly slid into a seat on the couch anyway. Hopefully Natalia was right and no one would catch them here.

Glancing at Natalia, Jaison noticed the girl suddenly leaving the room. What was she doing? Was this it!? Was she finally going to do Jaison in!? Biting his lip, Jaison pulled his cellphone out of his back pocket, readying an emergency phone call in case the girl tried any funny business. Jaison had to be prepared in case Natalia returned with a gun or a knife or some other weapon she could harm him with.

To Jaison’s surprise, however, all Natalia returned with was two glasses. Poisoned, perhaps? Was this how the girl planned to do him in? It made sense; it was a lot less messy than the previous weapons Jaison had thought of! Jaison wouldn’t fall for any of this woman’s tricks, though! He wasn’t stupid. Before he could reject the drink, however, Natalia had practically forced the glass into his hand. He held back a sigh as he looked around at the room surrounding him. Perhaps there was a plant nearby that he could stealthily pour the apple juice out into.

Jaison was suddenly distracted from his mini investigation by the sound of tiny feet against the floor and soft barking. So this girl had a dog, eh? It was an extremely fluffy, little puppy. It looked so soft and cuddly. Jaison had a dog of his own back at home, a two year old husky named Zem. Jaison found himself smiling as the puppy excitedly ran to Natalia in excitement. Jaison always believed dogs were a good judge of character, so maybe this girl wasn’t a crazed, ax-murderer after all. As Natalia was giving the puppy some affection, the table between them, which had held the girl’s apple juice, suddenly collapsed on itself, sending the juice all over the floor. Jaison stared in shock as Natalia ran out of the room. Just how cheap was this girl’s furniture that it could break so easily?!

Shaking his head, Jaison slid off the couch and onto the floor, holding his hands out to the puppy. ”Hey girl,” He smiled, beckoning the small animal over to him. ”Aren’t you a cutie.” He chuckled as the tiny animal let Jaison pick her up. Just as he’d suspected earlier, the puppy was incredibly soft. She was probably the best thing in this apartment, if Jaison was being completely honest.

After a couple minutes had passed, Natalia finally returned, armed with cleaning supplies. Jaison set the puppy down do he could step aside and let Natalia clean, but suddenly found a mop handle in his face. He stared at the cleaning utility with confusion before raising an eyebrow at Natalia. "If you're staying over, you might as well help and clean up." Was she kidding? It wasn’t even Jaison’s juice that spilled! Holding back a sigh, he reluctantly took the broom, if only to shut the girl up. ”Besides, I wasn't even thirsty, I was just trying to be polite.”

Jaison bit his tongue. He hadn’t even asked the woman for a drink! If it was such an inconvenience, she could’ve just left well enough alone. Jaison’s girlfriend had just passed away! He didn’t need some stranger making excuses for him to clean her home. In fact, why was he going along and cleaning her mess? Whatever. This would be over soon enough, and Jaison would be able to go home and never be obligated to see this woman or clean her house again.
